Dateq SPL-2MKII Stereo SPL-Limiter

The microcontroller in the limiter continuously measures the input signal and attenuates the output as much as necessary to keep the maximum sound pressure below a preset value. Because SPL limiters are not peak limiters, the dynamics of the music are not affected. The SPL2 limits based on the incoming audio at the line input and thus does not use a measuring microphone like the more elaborate models.

Both input sensitivity (threshold) and output attenuation (output level) can be set on the SPL2. All connectors and the controls can be sealed after installation, so they cannot be adjusted afterwards.

Der SPL2 Limiter ist ein einfacher Limiter, der den Schalldruckpegel unter allen Bedingungen wirksam begrenzt. Er ist die kostengünstigste Lösung für Probleme in Bezug auf Lautstärkepegel.

Der eingebaute Microcontroller misst kontinuierlich den Eingangspegel und senkt den Ausgangspegel so weit wie nötig ab, um die Lautstärke unter dem eingestellten Grenzwert zu halten. Im Gegensatz zu Peak-Limitern, wird die Dynamik der Musik von den SPL-Limitern nicht verändert.

Der SPL2 besitzt Einstellmöglichkeit für den Schalldruck (aktueller Ausgangspegel) und den Threshold (Eingangsempfindlichkeit). Nach der Verplombung des Limiters sind alle Anschlüsse sowie die Lautstärke- und Threshold-Regler vor Manipulation gesichert.
