Die PB 5 dient als Schnittstelle zwischen den HK Audio COHEDRA-Komponenten. Sie bietet Anschlüsse für analoge und digitale Signaleingänge sowie vier Lautsprecherausgänge, die sowohl an einzelnen Speakon-Buchsen wie auch an NL8-Multi-Outs anliegen. Jedem Endstufenkanal (Boxenpaar) kann wahlweise das Mid/High- oder Subwoofer-Signal zugeordnet werden.
Die Geräte werden aufgrund der Umstellungs zu einem neuen Lautsprecherhersteller nicht mehr benötigt.
