Der M.1K2 ist ein 16‑Port MADI‑Router, der bis zu 1 024 × 1 024 Audiokanäle routen kann (jeweils 64 Kanäle pro Port × 16 Ports) und füllt damit die Lücke zwischen kleinen Punkt‑zu‑Punkt‑Systemen und großen Broadcast‑Crossbar‑Systemen. Jede der zwei Steckplätze im Gerät kann mit 8‑Port‑I/O‑Modulen bestückt werden – etwa BNC (Coax 75 Ω), SC‑optical (Multi‑Mode) oder SFP‑Module (optional Single‑/Multi‑Mode.
